Output Management – Document and shipment creation
Output management is the creation, generation, management and distribution of digital or physical documents to all intended recipients inside or outside of a business.
The goal of outputmanagement is to supply employees and external recipients (customers, interested parties, etc.) with the documents they require. The documents should also be easy to read, print or save. Documents may exist as printouts, faxes, emails or any other form, and may be produced using a wide range of document technologies. For example, in a business with multiple offices, outputmanagement can include centrally-triggered printing of documents across a number of remote locations.
Output Management
Outputmanagement is tasked with identifying errors and responding by re-delivering the output (e.g. a printout) through an alternative channel. Outputmanagement is a component of enterprise content management which focuses on directing information in digital or physical format to a range of target groups across multiple output channels.
