Information Management
Informationmanagement describes the intersection between management tasks and any operational function defined as an information function.
The goal is to create a task-oriented information processing and communication system and to guarantee an institution’s ability to communicate and access information by developing, maintaining and operating an information infrastructure. The actual (core) information function serves to answer the question of ‘who’ should do something to achieve a goal (organisation, outsourcing, etc.).
Information Management
In the context of information infrastructure, the question of ‘what’ is answered at the management level, and the information systems and technology are addressed at the level of the information resources.
